This whole day has been pretty chill, this is actually the only new class i had today. Tomorrow i have my next new class, mission and minstry. We got new seats, im clser to the back which is what i wanted! I'm excited for this class, we got some new fun people that i'm excited to work with. I'm very excited to see what this semester will bring me.

last day of Human Geo

well, last blog. Wow, it went by really fast. We basically had a free period, which was pretty nice. Western Civ starts Tuesday, not sure what that class is going to be about or what to expect. Hopefully, it will be fun though. I ended the semester really well. All As one B. I didn't too well on the test yesterday, but I still have an A, so I'll take it. I'm really proud especially for a freshman, I've been working really hard and its paid off. Mr. Schick has been a good teacher and I'm excited to have him next semester. but a pretty chill day, have a basketball game and a concert Sunday.

last test

today we took our test on the 5 major religion. It thought it was fine, I'm worried about what I got. But even I don't do too well I should have a low A. If my mom looks and sees my grade dropped to a B then I'm dead. But one more class and that's it for Human Geo. It's been pretty good. I've gotten a lot closer to Mr. Schick, especially with Hamilton. I've learned some things in this class and I'm excited to learn about western civ. Just last night I and my parents were having a debate about immigrants and the wall. I said, "If I had my geo notebook in front of me I would be killing this argument!"

today

today we "studied" for our unit test on Friday. Mr. Schick said that if the school is canceled on Friday then we'll have our test Thursday. Which personal I don't find very fair. But I can't really do anything about it. This is our last couple of days with Human Geo with Mr. Schick. I have him next semester with I'm excited about. We can keep bonding over Hamilton, lol. But today was a pretty boring day, not super fun. Jason had an exchange/international student with him. He seemed cool, he's starting here tomorrow. I hope he enjoys it. Pretty chill day, not much to say.

today

christianity is the largest religion in the world. Their followers are called Christians. It was founded after Jesus' death on the cross. Their holy book, the Bible, has the life and experiences of Jesus. They believe that Jesus, the son of God, led a virtuous life, was crucified died, buried, and resurrected. He ascended into heaven where he reigns with God the father. They have the Catholic church, eastern orthodox church, Protestants, and many more. The head of these churches is the Pope.

islam is the second largest religion in the world. their followers are called Muslims. It was founded by  Muhammad. Their holy book is the Qur'an. It contains their beliefs that there are five pillars, testimony, prayer, alms-giving, fasting, and pilgrimage. That they see their purpose in life as serving and submitting to Allan, their god. There are two groups, the larger groups are the Sunnis, and the smaller are Shiites. These two groups do not get along.

hinduism I the third largest religion in the world. Their followers are called Hindus. There is no distinct founder. Their holy book is the Vedas. These contain the eternal truths revealed to ancient sages. The Vedas are composed in verse form, it is meant to be sung and easily memorized. It is a series of intellectual or philosophical points of view rather than a rigid, strict set of beliefs. Probably the oldest extant religion. Hindus are mostly found in India and Nepal.

buddhism, the number of adherents vary quite a bit, from 500 million to 1.5 billion. Their followers are called Buddhists. It was founded by Siddhartha Gautama. They have no holy book, but four noble truths. There is suffering, attachment to desire is the origin of suffering, there is a cessation of suffering, and the eightfold path will lead to the cession of suffering. Their denomination is the Tibetan, Zen, Theravada, and the amidst.

judaism is the ninth largest religion in the world. Their followers are called Jews. It was founded by Abraham. Their holy book is the Torah, which is actually the first five books of the old testament in the bible. They were the first to believe in monotheism, which is why other religions were always out to get them, example, Hitler. They believe God is one and concerned with the actions of humankind. The 10 commandments and 13 principles of faith play a big part in their religion.

today we look more into our packet and highlighted more notes we will need for our test on Friday. That's our last test in this class then semester two starts. I still have Mr. Schick next semester, so I think it will go well. The semester is ending really well for me, all my exams are As or Bs, I got all As the first quarter, and so far only have one B and the rest As. I'm super excited. I have learned a lot in this class, and I'm excited to dive in next semester. The best part is the Sunday after the semester ends, I get to go to the Panic! At the Disco concert!!!!!

today

today we read through the pages from the book and highlighted key things. We had shortened classes today because there was an assembly for our pow wow on Saturday. It was pretty cool, but it was almost 3 HOURS!!! haha no, oh my lord it felt long, but it was a lot longer then I thought or expected. But my day ended pretty well. Me and Mr. Schick talked a lot about Hamilton after class, and I told him he should listen to Anthony Ramos, which everyone in the world should. He told me about his experience and what his daughter was like when she first got into it. EVerything he told me has gotten me more and more excited to see it this summer.
